So is this blog worth reading? I hope so. I plan to invite many people to start reading it. We'll see if anyone out there likes it.
Here are some other things worth reading, IMHO:
Time magazine. Here's an article on Bono, Richard Curtis (writer/director of Love Actually), and Bob Geldof's attempt to pressure the G-8 to forgive debt. Good luck to them.
News on the Middle East. Things are definitely changing over there. We think it's stuck in this never-ending conflict, but there may actually be a chance it could end. That would be interesting, wouldn't it?
Lebanon had a setback today. Good reporting from the LA Times.
I also listened to a discussion on NPR today about contractors in Iraq. It was a very interesting and balanced discussion about how the use of private contractors affects soldiers and the war effort in general. There's been some good legislation passed, it seems, as part of the defense appropriation bills in Congress. I would link to it, but it looks like you have to pay for it.
Overall, today's news actually made me feel good about the state of the world media.
Now, if only I could find a good news source in Las Vegas.
