Credit where credit is due

Here are some kudos:

Kudos to Pres. Bush for trying to do what I suggested he do -- find a Supreme Court nominee from outside the East Coast with a non-Ivy League background (Harriet Miers). I didn't come out and support Harriet, but I don't think my support would have made a difference. Too bad she had such clear conflicts of interest with the Bush Presidency. I'm sure there were other, more qualified, women conservatives from similar backgrounds to Harriet Miers.

Kudos to Time magazine for recognizing Bono and Bill and Melinda Gates and making the last story of the year a positive one about how people in the developed world are helping those in the developing world. Kudos also to Bono for wearing rose-colored glasses to the photo shoot. There remains so much work to do.

Kudos to our church to sending a strategic team to Equitorial Guinea to help bring the gospel to an unreached people group. It's a long-term process but one we're already seeing excitement around on both ends.

Now, as to putting my money where my mouth is, that is something I still need to do.
