Meet the Press
I watched Meet the Press this morning, as I do often, and this time was struck by how matter-of-factly the "political round table" was shaping the aura around Hillary Clinton. There seemed to be no question among the people at the table that Hillary would be the nominee, and that she deserves to be treated as the frontrunner in the race. There's an air of inevitability every time they talk about Hillary, and it's starting to bring me down. I'm rooting for someone else to break through the collective wisdom and really shake up the race, give the pundits cause to question their assumed role as the guiders and shapers of political opinion in this country, but I don't know how they'll do it. The mainstream media has too much influence. Not power per se, but influence.

Hey Scott. This comment isn't particularly germane to any of your recent posts, but I just wanted to say I like you sidebar containing the book links. I especially like how you added some pictures into it. So, since this post had "press" in the title, and I wanted to commend you on book-links, I figured I'd put the comment here. Oh, and I didn't read your Harry Potter post yet. I'm waiting 'til after I see it (which I can't wait for.)
Cheers
Dude,
I just realized that every time I come back to your blog, the "Random Books From My Library" list changes (with pictures no less). How'd you do that Willis?
