Obama made some headlines in the Nevada section of the R-J today: "Obama's LV visit draws comparisons." The fact is, the R-J is the one making comparisons by asking the question of people at the event. The people they talked to are pigeon-holing Obama a little bit, saying how similar he is to Clinton, but it may be partly Obama's fault for not saying much new beyond promising to walk with Culinary Union members if contract negotiations stall. Funny how the R-J didn't mention that promise -- maybe they thought it was hot air. The AP, though, made it the lead of their story (sorry if this gets moved to the archive). Different journalists, different audiences, different story.
Tip of the cap for the best coverage of Obama goes to the AP writers in Reno, for this article.
