Political Round-Up

I've been disappointed with politics as it's played out so far. Obama does have some great moments, but Hillary's been countering and putting him on the defensive. Also, Obama's ability to inspire is being weighed against a presumption that Hillary has more experience. I fail to see one more term as a Senator as more experience. Hillary's unelected experience helping to craft health-care legislation in the 1990's was a less-than-satisfactory experience for most people involved, and it failed. Read The System by David Broder et al if you're interested in a thorough dissection of Hillary's plan and why it failed.

I predict the Democratic convention will be a mess, judging from the way Clark County's convention went. (Here's a couple of stories on it: LVRJ, LV Sun). If the campaigns continue having the same kind of arguments over seating delegates, the national convention will turn into a similar fiasco.

That's all for now.
