Sunday extravaganza
Sunday is supposed to be a relaxing day, but today I've been bouncing around websites looking at news. From what I've seen so far, the news is full of distractions from the really important things. The U.S. Open, for example, may have some interest for golf fans, but its outcome won't change anything in the world. Of course, watching the Open did give me, my dad, my brother, and my nephew something to talk about, but maybe we could have talked about more important things. The possibility of revolution in Iran could have a tremendous impact on the world, but will it change my day-to-day world? Not very much, probably. I think our information-saturated culture is so different from the perfect society that God would probably want for us. Still, I don't think I'll get over my technology addiction any time soon.
