Sarah Palin's Remarks -- What's a Grizzly Cub to Do?

Sarah Palin's remarks on health care reform have me fired up, but they're really not worth repeating, as they will be endlessly replayed in the media she loves to bad-mouth. I'm more interested in this quote, from the text of her resignation speech, also available on her facebook page:

When I took the oath to serve you, I promised to steadfastly and doggedly guard the interests of this great state – like that grizzly guards her cubs, as a mother naturally guards her own. I will keep that vow wherever the road may lead.

Sarah Palin is nobody's "momma bear" any more (except her family's) -- she does not have a state to protect, nor does she represent anyone but herself. She is deliberately inserting herself and her family back into national politics with her remarks. I think she is making a mistake in doing so. That fierceness of a momma bear protecting her cubs also makes grizzly bears some of the more feared animals on the planet. Watch out world, we're in for more from Ms. Palin.
