"Don't get demoralized. Get organized"
The above quote, from Sarah Palin, is the least disturbing aspect of the recent ratcheting up of right wing rhetoric from this former elected official. Sarah has used crosshairs on her website and used the word "reload" to describe her efforts to target Democratic officials who voted for the health care reform. If these images and words are designed to intimidate these officials, I believe they worked the opposite way by emboldening them to show some backbone for a change. Still, I imagine there will be plenty of gun-toting conservatives at Sarah's rally in Searchlight tomorrow. If one of them takes her imagery the wrong way, it could be disastrous. If all Sarah wanted was for people to get organized, she needn't spread violent images and use violent words. I'm waiting for someone from the Republican party to step in and put a stop to all the fear-mongering and violent imagery. Instead, they're trying to capitalize on it.
