"Sad Day for Happy Meals" -- 'Nuff Said?
This article from the LA Times sets up liberal county supervisors as the bad guys who want to take away the kids' toys. The county officials could have a point, but they're probably being a little heavy handed in banning toys from high calorie meals for kids. Maybe it'd be better to work with the restaurants who are no longer allowed to hand out toys to develop more figure-friendly menus, like the one mentioned at the end of the article that supports local athletic teams, etc. Maybe they could put some money into even more efforts like that. Just a few thoughts.
