One word, one verse for 2011
Last year, I chose the word "refuge" as my word for the year and Nahum 1:7 as a verse. It worked out pretty well. I'm surprised the year 2010 went by so fast, but the Lord was definitely a refuge last year. This year, I have chosen the word "wisdom" as my word for 2011. Lord knows I need it. The verse I chose is Proverbs 2:6: "For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." Wisdom is of the highest value in the Old Testament, especially in Proverbs, so I expect to be referring to Proverbs more often in 2011. It's important to remember that God is the source of all wisdom, not me. I have tried to explain things in my own way on this blog, but I need to "lean not on my own understanding" quite so much.
