Hey all! I have a hard time not taking myself too seriously, but watching Scrubs Season 1 on DVD this week has really helped me keep it all in perspective. I highly recommend the show if you've got the time to watch/rent it.
Today is World AIDS Day. A very serious topic that deserves more attention. I'm surprised that the One Campaign hasn't mentioned it. I think, though, that the One campaign wants to be a year-round advocacy movement, while the World AIDS Day is a one-day kind of thing. Better to be year-round, I'd say. The one day thing is so easily parodied into insignificance.
Some might say World AIDS Day is just as important as World Women's Field Hockey Day, for example. I definitely think AIDS deserves more attention than that kind of thing. It still helps to use humor to keep things in perspective. I do hope all's well wherever you (my reader(s)) are. Thanks for reading!
