Narcissism vs. self-referentiality
I find myself reading my own writing entirely too much. Anyone else out there ever do that? Get so wrapped up in your own thoughts that you just keep re-reading them? I'm asking this question in an ironically self-referential way, since it's being published to the world in this electronic form. Just wondering if there's a way to distinguish a natural reaction to writing in a vacuum from true narcissism.

I'm used to reading my own writing over and over again, namely because of graduate school. When it comes to writing my thoughts and experiences on my blog, though, I have found myself rereading the posts more often than not. You constantly find ways to improve, revise, and trash what you have written. Maybe that's a key characteristic in honing your skills. (I'll probably want to edit this as well)
