Great Quote

"The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter."
- Mark Twain

Thought I'd share this thought with everyone. It appeared in my Google "Quote of the Day" box.

Strange thing about weapons -- they tend to cut both ways. I think Twain meant that humans defend their human qualities by laughing, and he said it much better than I just did. But laughter can also be a weapon that is used to destroy opponents, some of which do not need destroying.

I think laughter is gradually losing ground in the struggle for humanity to retain its sanity. Still, I value laughter and hope to enjoy many more laughs in the future. I think laughter will make a comeback, and hopefully "right soon."
