Yesterday's news

I picked up the NY Times on a break yesterday, and discovered one of the joys of reading a print newspaper, as opposed to the Internet version -- something I had no knowledge of, but that was still interesting. It was a piece on the upcoming Tony awards describing Broadway's anticipation of the nominations yesterday. It got me thinking about the benefits of having a print newspaper -- if you don't know about it, how do you find out about things on the Web? The Web works mostly through word-of-mouth type effects, whereas a print newspaper allows you to scan headlines and discover things you didn't even know existed. So here's to yesterday's news -- print isn't dead, as much as we Internet types might want to think.
