Killers

This movie has more or less the same premise as Knight and Day, only the two leads are married for most of the movie in Killers.  I liked this movie better than Knight and Day, perhaps because there was a little more honesty in the movie and less reliance on "chemistry" or "charisma" to explain the attraction between the leads.  There was some chemistry between Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl in Killers, but the script was unnecessarily shrill in parts, and there wasn't a lot of subtlety.  Once you caught on to the fact that all of their neighbors were basically assassins, there was not much pleasure in seeing them pop up to try to kill the leads.  I think I've seen one too many action-comedy-romance flicks this summer (Date Night being the first), but I'd rate this one the second-best of this new genre, behind Date Night.
